I’m very excited to have one of my recent favorite fingerpaintings in a short show this weekend at the new Conveyor Gallery in Hoboken. Sorry for the late notice, but any near to NYC are invited to come- there’s an opening at 6 pm on January 29th.

I’m feeling a bit late to the party. Do any of you who also use your devices for painting in transit have stories and images that I can share? I’m feeling that just my experiences and techniques will have too narrow of a focus.

Helene, let me know if you need an additional voice for the AppSmash panel. How will you demonstrate apps? Camera rig at a station being projected overhead?

As a tangent to that, I saw one of those cell phones for soldiers bags and I wondered (as my old iPhone 3g leered at me from the half-open drawer that it’s been powered down in) if there are any charities or options to load a few apps on a wiped iphone and give it away…or use them for fingerpainting classes for tots? Maybe a crazy implausible idea?

Holy Crap! I have lived and worked in and around NYC on and off for 13 years and have never ever heard of this park! I must have rollerbladed and ran right by it a thousand times! this is a great idea, as long as I sit with my back to the water so my glorious Hoboken is in any potential paintings. Actually, if you leave me out of frame, they’ll be better pics for it…sounds like fun!
