Helene,
I’ll aim for about 5 to 10 minutes to allow for some participant interaction within the hour.

I have sent through my bio to Craig. In reply to - Helene Goldberg posted an update: I just looked at the schedule and I’m a bit worried because now I see that it is only 30 minutes and 3 other people are going to be in it. Helene,
Beaut.
Add Layers and Hipstamatic (square formats) and a touch of ToonPaint to your list.
My brain will most likely still be in the mid-pacific when in NYC so I need to think about how I can contribute to your session before leaving. What is the space like and how do you intend presenting e.g equipment, projectors or group participation? Discuss by email if you want.

Running out of tickets? What does this mean?
If you are registered when do you get a ticket?
What does it look like?
Is a ticket sent through to participants?
Does it matter?
JWIn reply to - Helene Goldberg posted an update: How many people are signed up at this point? It seems like a lot if you are running out of tickets. · View -

Helene you have a point
I am coming a couple of miles to see what publishing options are out there! (and to meet my ethereal friends in the real world)…. I would appreciate that this topic is thoroughly explored- a broader aspect to the topic is ”New publishing Media” (since we are dealing with new media) . I am sure there is enough of us who can generate discussions about new media publishing opportunities, however to cover all bases, are there any artisan ”digital ”printers coming along?
JWIn reply to - Helene Goldberg posted an update in the group MobileArtCon 2010: Looking at the schedule I think we should have more than 50 minutes for printing. How about a 2 hour session. I’m sure we all have problems (and possibly) solutions for this important topic. · View -

Thanks Sandy,
That’s a bit of recursive serendipity on my part or Manhattan is actually quiet small

I must have dementia.. thought I had posted a question about the closeness of the Pod and the Jane to the day venue? I’ve gone for the Jane.. cheaper than the Pod .. but does the Pod have advantages ?
Apologies if I am repeating myself.
All the best,
JulianGood question. I just checked the NYC transit trip planner and it looks like the Pod commute might be shorter. It is 15 minutes from the university. The commute from The Jane is about 30. and you only have to catch one train from both) So they are both reasonable commutes.
@kara , you may want to weigh since ur local. maybe you know a shorter route from one or both locations?
Keep in mind – I’ve never been to New York – and I’m just going by what I see on google maps.
The subway commute looks like a snap from the Pod Hotel. Two blocks to the stop from the hotel, then two blocks from the stop to ITP. The other plus about the Pod is that you’re close to MOMA, The Whitney, Guggenheim, etc. than if you were at The Jane.
If you go into street view on google maps – you can virtually walk to the subway stops.
Nothing walkable then?
I just used the Distance Measurement tool on Google maps.
The Pod Hotel is @2.5 miles from ITP
The Jane Hotel is @1.3 miles from ITPI guess it depends on your definition of walkability.
Thanks Craig.
Looks like the train then:-)

Hi folks,
I have made a booking at the Jane.. happy to switch if helps in group deal.Questions: Is the Pod closer to where we will be (than the Jane) ?
The Pod basic room is $60 more per night… is there a good reason?Looking forward to the sessions.

I agree with Luis.
A formal invitation would assist in more ways than one for those of us who are traveling distances to support the conference.
