I couldn’t afford to be a starving artist! Married w/2 kids & 2 cats meant a lot of mouths to feed. I was fortunate to find a freelance job that I love that I’ve averaged 2 1/2 days of work /week for the last 30 years.
The rest of the time, I make art. Not quite the starving artist but it works for me, and I’ve created enough self-satisfying art to last 2 lifetimes. If others dig it, great, if not……….everybody still eats.
