Our friends over at iPhoneArt.com (IPA) have been quite busy!
To showcase and honor the vast amount of talent that exists among the mobile digital art community, IPA is producing a large scale multi-media art event Santa Monica Art Studios in California!
LA Mobile Arts Festival is a 9 day mobile digital art ‘extravaganza’ to be held in Santa Monica, CA (Los Angeles) from August 18-26, 2012 (so its soon!
The festival will feature multi-media artworks and installations–all produced with mobile digital devices. An exciting event that will also coincide with the launch of iphoneart.com’s iPrint store (a printing service created exclusively for the mobile art community). Here is what iPhoneArt.com is saying about the event:
Be a part of history in the making as the Santa Monica Art Studios present the LA Mobile Arts Festival. Los Angeles celebrates the pioneers of iPhoneography and the underground mobile arts movement with nine days of innovative iPhone art as well as interactive digital, sculptural, film/video, and performances based iPhonic installations. It’s where art and tech unite. Located in the historic airplane hangar turned cutting-edge arts community and exhibition. Don’t miss out!
IPA is calling for entries now. They are accepting proposals for projects (large and small scale) as well as work submissions. Fingerpaintings, iphoneography, film and audio–ALL welcome! It’s a time to break outside of the box–so if you’ve got a big project, collaboration or installation idea brewing, try pitching it.
Submissions are being accepted from now until July 15, 2012. All selected works and projects will be printed and/or produced by IPA and participating sponsors.
