EXHIBITIONS
This past June, artist Jonathan Grauel helped to raise awareness among about the HIV/AIDS victims in Zimbabwe by organizing an international iPad/iPhone art exhibition and fundraiser honoring those who affected by the disease. Proceeds from the show were provided to LiveBirds, a project providing livestock to help sustain the many families who have been affected by the disease. Launched in South Carolina this past June, the show featured works by an international group of fingerpainters and was very well received as many of the works sold!
Matthew Watkins has also been quite busy, launching two solo exhibitions in Bari, Italy and and at the Galerija Aluminij in Mostar, showcasing his digital fingerpainting in large scale and alternative formats. Matthew printed wall sized images of his works and even showcased custom furniture made with prints of his work on the fabric. Matthew’s show in Mostar will be running for one more week. If you’re nearby, be sure to stop in!

As an extension of his residency at the Noo Cafe in Armley, UK , iAMDA artist, Fabric Lenny, invited members of the iAMDA community to submit pieces for his show “A Brush with Breakfast”. Fabric was also asked to create pieces to adorn the entire cafe with his work–from walls to table tops. Click here to see the online display of works.
“My Old Flame”, a series of fingerpaintings by Susan Murtaugh displayed masterful iPad and iPod Touch paintings of vintage matchbooks sent to the artist from friends around the world. Susan and the gallery were also featured this month on Green Bay’s Fox Morning News, discussing the show and inviting people to join the gallery and artists for their 2nd Annual Plein Air Paint-Out on July 16th.
